I have long been wondering about auto advertising. Some of it is good; some if it is stupid. The thing that I have noticed most is the amount of advertising. I have not done the research, but my perception is that I see more car commercials than any other kind of commercials on TV, and there are times that on four channels at a time (and that’s as fast as my little remote punching finger will work) there are car commercials. Sometimes all different; sometimes all the same; sometimes all mixed up. Even when they were supposed to be broke, those car companies were still dominating the air waves. I thought advertising was expensive. Maybe all the station managers or ad executives have new cars every year.
