Determination wins out everytime
After my horrible yesterday, I decided to approach things differently today. I made a list. Get up with the Mr. Make his coffee and sit with him. Do some housekeeping chores and call all those people I have been putting off – bank, doctor, dentist, etc. And so my day started at 7 am with a song in my heart, and it should have stayed there. I cranked up the music – sometimes gospel, sometimes country, sometimes rock. I sang my little ole heart out. I got the Mr. in a pretty good mood at which point he began telling me things he needed to do. Right now he cannot do those things, so in addition to my list I became what he refers to as a “Swamper”. Now, I have asked him before what is a swamper, and he has told me that it is a person that goes and does for a boss or someone higher up than he is. I asked him why they called it swamper and that he did not know. Anyway, today I was called and was the swamper. I took a medicine cabinet off the bathroom wall (we are getting ready to paint). I put cages and plastic wrap around all 8 tomato plants. I fed the pony (Flash) and even walked his hay to the barn so he wouldn’t have to get wet to eat. (It had been raining.) I got all my chores done and all of the Mr.’s as well. The only drawback to doing the Mr.’s chores is that he like to supervise, and if I don’t get it right with minimal instructions he begins to growl like a bear. Loretta Lynn used to say her husband, Do, growled like an “ole bar”.
Anyway at the end of the day, this is what I saw. And the Mr. is snoring away. Enjoy everyday.
