The Last Day
Finally done and if I hadn’t given in to the “retirement party” it would have been done on Friday. I told them just to take a picture of me to the bar and salute me every drink or so and feel free to talk about me all they wanted – but that didn’t work. I just can’t help but think of the times I have thought about going to those kind of things but not really wanting to, but I have to say a student that I had long ago made it worth the party. A true success story that really believes I taught him to write. (And I did) The big suprise was my family showing up, and I had no idea they were coming. Anyway, here I spend my final night in a motel because I am getting up early to finish my Christmas shopping and the retirement home is a good hour drive. I will post but not publically for 30 days because I have sworn off all electronic devices for 30 days. Snail mail it the only way to communicate with me other than face to face.
